Since 1987, April has been designated as Alcohol Awareness Month by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence. Designed to increase public awareness and understanding, reduce stigma, and encourage local communities to focus on alcoholism and alcohol-related issues, this year’s theme is Changing Attitudes: It’s not a ‘rite of passage.
This Month is an opportunity for all of us to share information about alcohol, alcoholism, and recovery. Across America there is a focus on educating young people about alcohol use. Join us throughout the month of April as we increase alcohol awareness and support those in treatment and recovery!
